Defending the Veterinary Oath

Today, PPRM welcomes Dr. Margo Roman as she shares her personal story of fighting to keep her veterinary license that was taken during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
“They took my license for two years starting November 1, 2020 for a private email that I sent to my private clients in March 2020, talking about treating a kitten with coronavirus with medical ozone in 2004. Thirty cats died that did not get medical ozone, my patient survived for 16 years. I had made the statement that “ozone could be a possible cure for coronavirus” and they said I was treating people. In that email, as a vet trained in zoonosis, bioterrorism and preparedness, I was even more prepared in my veterinary training to practice the Veterinary Oath. We are part of public health and understanding the connection between human and animal issues, I described how I was going to protect my practice during the pandemic.”
